The name GUARD was selected because of its literary meaning which provided the buyers with an impression that they are actually using Guard Filters to guard their vehicle engines. Mr. Ifthikar Ali Malik with extensive tours of spare parts markets in the country developed personal contacts with various departments, appointed sole distributors and travelled even to remote places to convince the stockist and retailers to give room to the Guard Filters at their shelves & got it branded as import substitution.
